Destiny – Manly P. Hall

I don’t usually post videos or anything that came from others, but I am making an exception today. Philosophizing the potential of a destiny for human kind. This is a great lecture by Manly P. Hall.

Doing as we please…

There is a constant relationship between events in that, similar causes always produce similar consequences.  War must result in war, not peace…  Then why must we say this lower destiny is essentially benevolent?  If war must always produce war, then it is eternal in itself.  This, we do not wish to believe.

If every mistake we make results in a catastrophe from which we have learned nothing and about which we make no thoughtful consideration, then the viscous cycle of circumstances will go on indefinitely.

We like to hope that we can do as we please and that all will come out well.  This is possible only in a person so enlightened that what he pleased to do is the greatest good for himself and everyone else.  Until this is the basis of his pleasure, pleasure will alternate with displeasure down through time.

It is loss you seek, not gain.

It is not words that will be the catalyst for your transformation. It is not logical or strategical thinking that will bring you to clarity. You need nothing beyond what you already have. It is just that what you already have is blocked by what you have defined. Reboot your mind…

Do you remember?

We imitate the primitive survival stage of our evolution because we can’t seem to remember who we are…
