When we are slaves to our own flesh

we must expect to be treated as such.

Choice and Result

Free will is the ability/responsibility to choose.  It is not something that we have or have not, but something that is always there to varying degrees.  Choices are realized through awareness.  These choices are enabled or hindered by situational variables.  These situational variables are very much a product of choices made in the past.  The variable that determines the choices made is self awareness.  This is because most of what we choose is based on who we believe ourselves to be.  Think; “what would I do in any given situation” and you will see that it depends on who you understand yourself to be.  Therefore, it matters less to the well being of the situation, how many choices you have to choose from, than it does the ability to discern between those choices.  Focusing on self awareness seems to be the optimal way to bring about a collective existence which is capable of making better choices than our current model.

This process of awareness – self awareness – choice – result is much the same as a computer application that is designed to process data.  The application will become aware of the data, whatever the data may be, and process that data based on the programming of the application.  After the data has been processed, it will then become aware of the result of the processed data and continue the cycle.  One major difference between us and a computer application is that with ourselves, we can upgrade the application, as the application, with self awareness.  The problem is that our current applications are so busy and overwhelmed with processing corrupt data that it tries to upgrade and change the data to fit the application, which is backwards.  We must put our efforts into upgrading our application rather than blaming the current data which is a result of how the application has processed that data previously.

First there is a degree of awareness to the situation.  This awareness brings potential choices.  No choice is cared to be made until there is a degree of self awareness.  Then the choice is made which generates a result.  We become aware of this result and based on who we are, we make more choices which generate more results to be aware of.  If we are dissatisfied with the results, we must look within ourselves for the solution.

Awareness:  I see

Self Awareness:  I am

Choice:  I choose

Result:  I experience

Voids Are Not Containers

Image

There is no sense in trying to fill a void.  Voids are not containers, they are gateways to travel through.

Power of the Internal

The power of what’s internal to effect what’s external is greater than the power of what’s external to effect what’s internal.

What Pain?

The pain of awareness is only as strong as the desire to reject it.

Are we rotten to the core?

Most people are good at heart.  There is no question about that.  The question is; to what degree do we hold moral strength in order to live up to what we are at heart?  How much of ourselves do we sacrifice to experience the temptations of a non-empathetic way of life?

When the only thing we truly have to lose is ourselves, then all we can be vulnerable to is our own choices.  Everything else that we fear losing was not, and never will be ours.

The Road Less Traveled

The road less traveled is inward.

God does not serve you

“God does not serve you.  You serve yourself and be one with God.”

The Darkness Inside

The darkness inside will effect us appropriately, determined by our level of rejecting and misinterpreting it.  All those effects end with the willingness to face what is in the dark without fearing and rejecting it.

Cause and Effect

The level of tyranny we experience is determined by the level of dependency we place outside of ourselves.  Tyranny is the effect, not the cause.
